This is my first watch purchase from Amazon, and I am pleased with the watch so far. I am still unclear on whether this item is a “grey market” watch or not.

Likes: Attractive styling, light, easy to change size of watch band, large easy to read dial

Dislikes: I found the push-in crown somewhat strange. The band has a weird curling on the underside of the watch band. The band makes your arm sweat when worn in warmer weather. The phosphorescent dots don’t glow very bright.

Being an owner of such a fine watch is really awesome. I receive compliments above compliments every time I wear this time piece. The reasons why I like this watch are because of it’s big numbers. You can see them even without glasses. The inside of the watch is also made from carbon fiber. On vehicles, it helps the car loose weight, and on this watch it helps lighten it on your wrist; and with the titanium casing this watch feels like your wearing nothing. The downside however is this thing scratches very easily because of the titanium. However for an overall sports watch to go swimming, diving, or out on the boat on the fishing trip, this is one timepiece you cannot leave without. You can even get away with wearing a suit; with this watch on your wrist.

This is a great watch. Swiss made, true automatic high-tech movement. It has case-back window, so you can actually see the quality of craftsmanship. Accuracy is unbelievable for mechanical watch. Very stylish, good for any occasion. And the price is very reasonable.

I own this watch and recommend that no one purchase an Oris watch. Although this watch is attractive and the price is reasonable, it quit working after owning it about a year or two. I sent it in for repairs (under warranty), and after several months I had my watch back. Two years or so went by and the rubber watch band broke (I think the rubber just got brittle and one of the metal pins slid out and the band broke in two.) I sent it back to Oris for a new watch band, expecting that this would be a five minute job and I would have my watch returned within one to two weeks. Wrong. I took about two months before Oris even called me to have me “authorize the repair.” Another month or more went by and I still had no watch. After leaving several messages with Oris, they finally returned my phone call and told me that they were waiting for the watch bands to be manufactured (why they didn’t tell me this when I initially authorized the repair is beyond me.) After four or five months (it’s been so long I cannot remember the exact period of time), they returned my watch. The new rubber band was “only” about $150 with shipping, but even after all this, I still cannot wear the band because they did not return it the same length as the original band (I had instructed them to shorten the band for me, to match the one I sent to them.) So, now I must waste more time and find a local watch repair person to finish the job. In conclusion, don’t for a minute think you’re buying a “luxury product” when you buy an Oris watch, as you are simply buying a relatively inexpensive Swiss watch that is not backed up by a credible service department. Oris does not seem to care if you are a satisfied customer or not, and don’t expect them to return all your phone calls or keep you “in the loop” when it comes to servicing your timepiece. Save your money for something more expensive (with reputable service) or wear a cheap watch. Don’t do this.

I can’t say enough about this particular Oris model. This the first Oris I have purchased, but I know it will not be the last.

The design speaks for itself, as you can see in the pictures. It is simple, easy to read, with the addition of a stationary 24 hour time marker on the outer bezel. It has an exhibition back to display the swiss movement, and an oversized crown for ease of use. So far, I have found it to be very accurate, and loses very little time per day.

It is a sizable watch, and it is larger than 42 mm as it says at one point in the description. I will warn you that it is quite thick as well, but sits very comfortably on the wrist.

Even though it is sizable, I feel it is comfortable enough for an every day watch. I can wear it with a suit or with jeans.

All in all, I am impressed with my first Oris purchase, and am looking forward to the next.

I’m a watch collector and wanted an everyday automatic watch. My jeweler of 20 years said the watches on Amazon are “most likely fakes” and are most likely manufacturer seconds. Well, this is not the case. Over the past year, my watch has not lost a lot of time (measured in seconds). In fact, it is only five to eight seconds off per month - the watch is on a watch winder. This is superb for an automatic watch that is not COSC certified.

The face is dark brown, but it can also look black paired with the right black shirt/jacket. The face dial displays both 12/24 hour times and proudly displays a day/date function. The exhibition back is gorgeous. You will be proud to take this off your wrist and show it to your friends.

The rubber strap is fantastic and does not wither (due to perspiration) with hot weather like lizard or leather straps do. The Oris is a little on the “thick” side, so don’t expect a slim and light watch; however, it’s not too heavy for everyday wear due to the light Titanium material. Fit and finish are superb and I don’t see any issues. The Oris watch face crystal does not scratch easily, but the buckle does scratch a little bit.

I was skeptical immediately after purchase and brought the watch to two trusted watchmakers. The both indicate the Amazon-sold Oris is authentic and is of first quality. All Oris dealers I’ve been to sell watch at a far higher price point.

You can dress this watch up or down…with a dinner jacket (no tie) or with a casual outfit. It works in most situations other than hardcore business of formal events where you may want a thinner watch with a lizard/leather strap. It’s too thick to wear under a dress shirt cuff.

Don’t hesitate with this watch - it’s the real deal at a far better price than in stores. I will purchase the same model with a Green face once it is available from Amazon again.

I was looking for a high quality Swiss made watch without needing a mortgage. I covet an Omega, but who doesn’t! I first saw Oris in Bermuda.
